First, the book is at the printers now so will hopefully be available to order very soon! I also submitted the final of the teacher’s manual (which will be delivered in PDF) so that’s all sorted.

Second, I went to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park—which features prominently in chapter nine—today, and discovered the first update for the (theoretical) second edition. In the book, I said that the Haunted Mine Ride drop ride hadn’t reopened, because from looking at their website I thought it hadn’t. But it turns out it has, now named Crystal Tower, with all of the changes required by the Colorado regulators incorporated. They even say that the cage around the carriage is a Faraday Cage (it very much is not), I guess to explain away how weird it is to have a cage around a drop ride.

Anyway, I enjoyed my brief visit to the park, and can tell the ride operators have gone through solid training.
