I posted about a year ago about the $200M+ verdict (reduced to a still large ~$116M) in the lawsuit against Glenwood Caverns and others about the death of Wongel Estifanos on their Haunted Mine Drop ride (which features in Chapter 9 of the casebook). The park filed for bankruptcy protection and now, the bankruptcy judge has approved the sale of the park for just $14.8 million.
I don’t practice in bankruptcy law or really know that much about valuing theme parks. $15M seems pretty cheap for that, but the sale was heavily litigated and the court’s opinion is lengthy and seems thorough.
